What I Think
Cool Idea, But Free Alternative Available Elsewhere

I was a little confused at first about how the translating works because when I received this product, there wasn't any QR code in the box to scan to download the app. I had to go back to its online product page to find out. That aside, the quality of the glasses seems nice and decent. This is essentially a pair of smart glasses that are able to verbalize a translated conversation. There are many languages available, but I could only test out a couple of them. It could translate an entire conversation, albeit don't pause too long, and not just single sentences. I actually find it quite good and accurate. Unfortunately, the offline version is not free. Overall, this product seems like a cool idea and maybe applicable for someone who can't read, but rely solely on verbal translation. However, there's another equally good, if not better, app called G o o g l e Translate that could do this for free.

Grace
AI Translator!

Wow this is great! It feeds you real time voice translation but you do have to keep your phone on and use their app. It basically uses their app to translate the voice it hears and then feeds you the translated version to the eyewear speakers. It's a bit cumbersome to carry around but neat little device nonetheless.

Works better than I expected

After installing the app, and connecting the glasses via bluetooth, I tested them right away by using photo translation mode. I took a photo of the Chinese version of the instruction booklet, and the app translated it right away (screenshots attached). But, that was just the app, not the glasses. As for the real-time translation, I haven't found a way to test that yet. So I guess you could say I've only tested the app so far. But, so far so good.

These aren’t bad, but they are not great either…

First, they are not too bad looking… The frames are fairly lightweight and comfortable, but they really are nothing more than a microphone and tiny speakers built in to the arms of the glass frames. From the perspective that I absolutely hate earbuds, and I already have to wear glasses they had viability. You can take them to a place that sells prescription transitional lens bifocals and have them sized and installed so that you can wear these as your primary glasses. They allow you to have them on and talk on the phone or listen to music right through your glasses, but if someone is right next to you, they'll likely be able to listen or hear what’s being said or played. It sounds a little like when someone has their phone volume up and you can catch most of the conversation if you are next to them. Also, the language translator app works pretty decently, but has little to nothing to do with the actualglasses, so it’s just kind of a ‘hey, here’s an app with some interesting features that is available for download’.I think these are okay, but have a ways to go before I could make a positive recommendation.
